Laine's Papeterie had been SK Beyond continuous

generous sponsors to all SK Beyond charity works

So when Laine's posted an urgent call at their blog

I just have to support them on this call!

Laine's is currently on a special collaboration with
Pathlight School, an autism focused school in Singapore,

on the Beautiful Minds Project

What is a Beautiful Minds Project?

It is a scrapbook album project aims to showcase

journal entries and doodles created by Pathlight students

as a vehicle to promote autism awareness for family,

parents and members of the public.

The original scrapbook will be published in print form

later in the year.

Together with Laine's staffs as well as many gracious volunteers,

like myself,

we are now dedicating our passion in scrapbooking

to a worthy cause serving as coaches and designers

on this very specially commissioned project led

by Pathlight Design Studio

What can I do to help???

If you have some stash that are begging to be put

to better use towards a worthy cause,

why not consider making direct product

donations to this project??

What can I contribute??

Frame Charity Drive

Club Rainbow is organising a Caregivers Appreciation Day
on 17 Aug 08

Club Rainbow is a registered charity in Singapore
who is committed to help children suffering from a range
of chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
Club Rainbow is currently supporting more
than470 children and their families.

They provide a range of free services
including a volunteer-based befriender network & counselling,
free tution at home, at our Rainbow Family Care Centre
on weekends and for children warded at the
KK Women's and Children's Hospital, even bedside tution.

Club Rainbow also helps in family bonding
through a range of social activities.
Talks are organise for parents on
medical & family-related issues.
For needy family, Club Rainbow also provides financial help.

Club Rainbow need Scrappin Kids Care to support them
with a photo frame for the children to place their
family professional shots and to be given to their parents,
who are their caregivers on that day.

"Frame Charity Drive"
Scrappin Kids Care had pledged to provide
100 photo frames for this occasion.
These photo frames are to be semi-decorated
and the children will be putting the final touches
and personalised it on that day.

How can you help??

There are two ways of helping this "Frame Drive"

#1
All you need to do is to pledge to alter 1 frame!
The frame must be able to fit a 4R photos (horizontal)
Since its a family photo that will be placed on the frame,
kindly ensure that the frame has a family theme
You just need to semi-decorated/alter the frame
as the children will add the final touches

#2
We need embllishments in the form of buttons, flowers,
alpha stickers, chipboard (family theme)
for the kids to use for the final touches
Please contribute these embllishments for us to put it all together

SIC Charity Move

Scrap Inspire Create

is Scrappin Kid's current adopted charity.

The recent earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China,
has killed thousands of people,

left many homeless and without decent food,
shelter and deteriorating health conditions.

SIC is organising a Charity Move to raise funds
for victims of this disaster.

They are inviting scrappers all over to come and join together

to create papercraft products such as

cards, bookmarks, tags, picture frames, notebooks, etc.

All these will be on sale during a charity event to raise funds.
Funds raised will be donated to the Embassy of China in Brunei,
who will be receiving it on behalf of the earthquake victims

All the created products are to reach SIC by 10th June

LATEST UPDATE!!

We have been receiving parcels and envelopes of tags everyday!
It came as far as from Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia
and of course Singapore!!
We are so touched by how much LOVE & EFFORT
that has been put into making these tags!!
All the tags are soooo lovely!!

With all of your support, we've hit our 250 target!
We received
more than 300 tags!!!

A TAG! Charity Drive?

Scrappin Kids has pledged to provide 250 tags to Club Rainbow
for their Annual Party in March 08 as door gifts.

Club Rainbow is a registered charity in Singapore
who is committed to help children suffering from a range

470 children and their families.

They provide a range of free services including a volunteer-based befriender
network & counselling, free tution at home, at our Rainbow Family Care Centre

Jan Adopted Charity - Crop for Kids

Our adopted charity for January is Crop for Kids

Crop for Kids is a scrapbooking event officially approved by
Good Friday Appeal for the
Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
To raise funds for this charity, they are selling exclusive designed
Crop for Kids embellishements.
100% of the sales proceeds will go directly to the Good Friday Appeal.

Scrappin Kids Care is selling those embellishments here on their behalf.

Chipboard People
Made by Scrapware and designed by our competition winner, Samantha Plowright.
These people are made from strong chipboard and stand approximately 2" tall.
They come in a pack of one boy and one girl and link together in any combination,
so why not buy a few sets and make a whole family!
It takes 8 people (4 packs) to completely span a 12" page

Ceramic Pack
Made by Crafty Matters this star and circle pack is made from strong, glazed ceramic.
Each is approximately 1" tall making it the perfect size for any scrapbooking project.

Acrylic Rocket
It can be hard to find great boyish embellishments,
and this funky acrylic rocket is one of the coolest we've seen.
Made by Julies Craft Shop, it is approximately 3.5" tall.

Scrappin Kids Care is where we do our bit for charity.

Scrappin Kids Care will be adopting a Children's Charity every month.
We will be assisting the charities in various projects and
all proceeds collected here will be donated to the selected charity.

We will be introducing to you our adopted Charity,
their objectives and goals and web links (if any).
We will also post an update on the contribution amount going to the charity
at the end of the adoption period.
